The Ministry of Finance, Budget, and National Planning revealed this initiative in a statement, highlighting the urgent need to address food insecurity and alleviate the financial burden on households. “This suspension is part of our broader strategy to ensure that essential food items are within the reach of every Nigerian, thereby reducing hunger and malnutrition,” the statement read.
