Some residents of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja have invaded a warehouse belonging to the National Emergency Management Agency of Nigeria (NEMA) in the city.
According to reports, the warehouse located in Karimo, Phase 3 Region of the FCT, Abuja, was raided on Sunday morning, while residents carted away foodstuffs and other items.
The FCT police command officers have been deployed to the area to disperse the looters and secure the warehouse.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh, said the situation had been brought under control.
“The situation is now under control,” she stated.
