Members of the Nigerian Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE), FCT Council, have partially disrupted operations at the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) headquarters.
The action, which occurred earlier today, stems from grievances related to unresolved labor issues, including alleged unfair treatment of staff and unmet demands by the AEDC management.
While the headquarters remains operational to some extent, the partial shutdown has led to delays in customer services and other administrative activities.
Union leaders have warned of a full-scale shutdown if their demands are not addressed promptly. The AEDC management is yet to issue a formal response.
Further developments are expected as discussions between both parties continue.
