President of the Senator, Godswill Akpabio has made public the names of twenty-eight nominees transmitted to the Senate for approval by President Bola Tinubu.
The unveiling follows anticipation against the 60-day constitutional deadline for the President to submit his nominees for the Senate consent.
The 28 nominees that made the first batch include: Abubakar Momoh, Ambassador Yusuf Miatama Tukur, Arch. Ahmed Dangiwa, Barr. Hannatu Musawa, Chief Uche Nnaji, Dr. Berta Edu and Dr. Dorris Aniche Uzoka.

Other are former governors David Umahi, Nyesom Wike, Badaru Abubakar and Nasiru Ahmed Elrufai.
Also, are Rt. Hon. Ekperipe Ekpo, Hon. Nkiru Onyeojiocha, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, Hon. Stella Okotette, Hon. Uju Kennedy Ohaneye and Mr. Bello Muhammad G.
The rest are Mr. Dele Alake, Mr. Lateef Fagbemi SAN; Mr. Muhammad Idris, Mr. Olawale Edun, Mr. Waheed Adebayo Adelabu, Mrs Iman Suleiman Ibrahim, Professor Ali Pate, Professor Joseph Utsev; as well as Senators Abubakar Kyari, John Eno and Sani Abubakar Danladi.
