Ajayi Agboola, a former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, has won the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election to become the party’s candidate for the November governorship election.
He secured 264 votes in the primary held on Wednesday, defeating other aspirants.
Kolade Akinjo, a former member of the House of Representatives, came second with 157 votes.
Agboola’s victory sets him up as the PDP’s flagbearer for the upcoming governorship election in Ondo State.
