A total of 12 talented Beach Volleyball players have been reported to be in full training camp at Marina Beach, Badagry, as they prepare for the 13th African Games scheduled to be held in Ghana.
The Media Coordinator for the Beach Volleyball Federation, Dare Esan, made this known in Lagos on Sunday.
The camping exercise, which kicked off on the 8th of February, is expected to come to an end on the 23rd of February, just in time for the games.
The 13th African Games are billed to be held between the 8th and 23rd of March 2023 in Ghana, and these players are gearing up to represent their country in the competition.
According to reports from the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), some of the champions from the 2023 Beach Volleyball Star Tour, Ibrahim Peter, and Uchenna Augustine are among the men’s team.
Other highly skilled players who made the men’s team include Emenike Ezike, Ike Sylvester, Philip Zakka, and Victor Eze.
The women’s team, on the other hand, is being led by the multiple National Champion, Francisca Ikihiede, who also leads the women’s team to the national camp training ground.
Other women’s team players in the camp include Esther Mbah, Pamela Bawa, Naomi Yaro, Sarah Sanda, and Dorcas Isaac.
The men’s team will be handled by Francis Imoudu and John Iwerima, while Kayode Ajilore and Christy Amadi will be in charge of the women’s team.
The players are expected to put in their best effort as they get ready to represent their nation on the global stage.
