Vincent Kompany, the newly appointed coach of German giants Bayern Munich, has outlined his vision for the club, emphasizing a brand of football characterized by unwavering aggression and bravery.
The Belgian manager, known for his passionate leadership style, arrives at Bayern after signing a contract that will keep him at the club until 2027.

“I want the players of Bayern to be really brave on the ball, to have personality,” he emphasized. “I want the team to be aggressive, to represent those two things.”
He reiterated this desire for unwavering aggression throughout the match, stating, “Absolutely brave when they have the ball and make a decision and absolutely aggressive, something they carry every minute of the game. Always.”
Kompany, a decorated player himself with 360 appearances and four Premier League titles for Manchester City, has established a reputation for favouring a free-flowing, possession-based style of play during his brief managerial career.
His coaching journey began at his home club Anderlecht in Belgium before taking the reins at Burnley in England’s second-tier Championship in 2022.
There, his philosophy proved successful, securing promotion for Burnley with seven games to spare.
However, Kompany’s unwavering commitment to his style faced challenges in the Premier League.
Burnley’s insistence on employing the same tactics against stronger opponents resulted in a significant struggle.
The team finished the season in 19th place with only five wins, ultimately leading to relegation.
