Bayern Munich’s coach Thomas Tuchel will continue to lead the team in the upcoming Bundesliga match against RB Leipzig, despite the team’s recent defeat against VfL Bochum on Sunday.
The club’s CEO, Jan-Christian Dreesen, confirmed this decision to reporters, stating, “Of course, Tuchel will be in charge for next Saturday’s game against RB Leipzig.”
Dreesen also mentioned that he doesn’t believe in making overly confident statements about backing a coach as they tend to run out after a week.
However, he emphasized that the coach’s future is not an issue the club is currently dealing with right now.
He urged the team to focus on their next matches to get back on track.
Bayern Munich is facing a rough patch with their third consecutive defeat in all competitions.
They have been knocked out of the German Cup, are currently second in the league, eight points off the top, and lost their Champions League round-of-16 first leg at Lazio 1-0 on Wednesday.

During Sunday’s match, Bayern went ahead, but they conceded two goals late in the first half after the game was interrupted by fans protesting against a planned foreign investment in the Bundesliga.
Dreesen mentioned that the interruption threw the team off their rhythm and that the win against Bochum was more of a win of mentality over quality.
Bayern midfielder Leon Goretzka expressed his frustration, stating that the current run feels like a never-ending horror movie, with everything going against them at the moment.
He added that the team can no longer limit themselves to just half an hour and that they are trying everything they can to turn things around.
