Gunmen suspected to be assassins have killed doctor David Adefikayo, the medical director of Dafikayo Clinic in Kanbi community in Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State.
It was gathered that the gunmen broke into the deceased residence around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2023, and shot him dead in the presence of his wife and children.
The medical doctor’s plea to the gunmen to collect money and other items fell on deaf ears.
Also, the assailants abducted a 23-year-old daughter of the slain doctor, Christiana Adejoke Alabi.
The incident had caused shock and grief in the community, as the late medical expert was a respected figure who contributed significantly to local healthcare.
Confirming the incident, Kwara state police spokesperson, Ejire Adeyemi-Adetoun said “They killed the doctor and abducted his 23-year-old daughter during the incident.
“The DPO and other officers have stormed the bush in search of the criminals. I will give more details later,” Adeyemi-Adetoun added.
