After many days in captivity, the Al-kadriyah sisters finally reunite with their family albeit missing one of them who had been killed.
A viral video on the internet showed the family’s reunion with their children in a happy and grateful manner.
CRUX NEWS recalls that the girls were abducted with their father in their Zuma 1 area of Bwari Area Council residence.
Their abductors had released the father to source for a ransom sum of N60 million for his children’s relaease.
However, the kidnappers had killed Nabeeha, one of the girls for the family’s failure to meet a deadline for payment, then raised the ransom to N100 million.
Nabeeha’s death led to the public’s outcry, concern and intervention and in no time, the police, government and public involvement intensified.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Federal Capital Territory Police, FCT command, Josephine Adeh who comfirmed the release, the victims were rescued around Kajuru forest in Kaduna State, Saturday night.
