Following the increased economic hardship and insecurity in Nigeria, Aisha Yesufu, social critic and human rights activist, has criticized president Bola Tinubu for making Nigeria and Africa a laughing stock.
Yesufu, who is known for her opposition to the Tinubu administration, made this statement on Tuesday while reacting to a tweet the president made on X, formerly twitter, in 2013.
Yesufu had dug out the old post where Tinubu claimed that African leaders who celebrate the late South African leader, Nelson Mandela but lack his discipline and morale fortitude stand in the way of their people and make Africa a laughing stock.
She shared the post on X with her own post that read: “Another day to remind you that Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made Nigeria and Africa a laughing stock.”
She also stressed that, she was not afraid about her life over her opposition to the current administration and insisted that she would continue to criticize the president’s administration as he had also done the same in the past.
