Nigeria’s Under-20 female football team, the Falconets, are set to face Ghana on Thursday in the women’s football final at the 13th African Games in Ghana.
The Falconets secured their spot in the final after a 2-0 victory over Uganda in the semi-final match at Cape Coast Stadium on Monday.
Similarly, Ghana earned their final berth by defeating the Teranga Lionesses of Senegal with a score of 3-1.
The showdown between Nigeria and the host nation Ghana is scheduled for Thursday at 8pm at the Cape Coast Stadium.
In the meantime, Uganda will compete against Senegal for the bronze medal at the same venue on Thursday at 5pm.
The Falconets previously clinched the gold medal at the 12th African Games in Rabat, Morocco, in 2019.
The 13th African Games commenced on March 8 and will conclude on March 23, with events taking place in Accra, Kumasi, and Cape Coast.
