Stanley Nwabali, the goalkeeper for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, had to be subbed off in the 80th minute during their match against Cameroon due to a collision with Georges-Kevin N’Koudou that left him in pain.
The Nigerian team ultimately won 2-0, thanks to two goals scored by Ademola Lookman.
Lookman scored the first goal in the 36th minute after receiving a pass from Victor Osimhen inside the box.
He later sealed the win for the Nigerian team by scoring the second goal of the match.
After the game, Nwabali spoke to the media and disclosed that he was still feeling pain in the injured area.
However, he would have to wait for the doctor’s report before knowing the extent of his injury.

He said, “Maybe the doctor would tell, but I’m still feeling pain. You know when injury is new, you always feel pains.”
Super Eagles manager Jose Peseiro also gave an update on Nwabili’s injury, stating that the Nigerian medical team is yet to assess the extent of Nwabili’s injury.
However, he is hopeful that the Chippa United goalkeeper will be available to play in the quarter-finals.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face Angola at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium on Friday for a place in the Semi-finals after their resounding victory over the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
