The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially unveiled the Super Eagles’ 40-man provisional squad for the Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Côte d’Ivoire next year.
The squad is composed of six goalkeepers, 13 defenders, eight midfielders, and 13 forwards.
The list features notable names such as William Troost-Ekong, Alex Iwobi, and Victor Osimhen.
Although the squad has not been confirmed yet, it is expected that the selected players will give their best effort to secure a spot in the final team.
The goalkeeping position comprises of Francis Uzoho, Adebayo Adeleye, and Stanley Nwabali, among others.
Meanwhile, the midfield is represented by players like Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Nwakali, and Joe Aribo.
The forwards consist of Emmanuel Dennis, Ahmed Musa, and Victor Boniface, among others.
The Super Eagles will face Equatorial Guinea in their opening Group A game on January 14th, 2024, followed by matches against Côte d’Ivoire and Guinea-Bissau.
