Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has expressed his admiration for the Super Eagles following their impressive win over Cameroon in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The Nigerian national team secured a place in the quarterfinals of the competition after defeating their arch-rivals, the Indomitable Lions, with a brace from Ademola Lookman.
Sanwo-Olu, who watched the match from Lagos on television, praised the team for their remarkable display of teamwork and determination.
He applauded the hard work of Victor Osimhen, Lookman’s brace, the solid performances of William Troost-Ekong and Valentine Ozornwafor, as well as the great display of Joseph Ayodele-Aribo.

In a series of tweets, the Governor urged the team to maintain their momentum as they head into the quarterfinals.
