Nigeria’s national football team, the Super Eagles, are set to play two high-profile friendly games against Burkina Faso and Cape Verde in January 2023.
These games will serve as preparation for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, which is scheduled to take place from January 13 to February 11 in Ivory Coast.
The Super Eagles have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea Bissau.
Their first match will be against Equatorial Guinea on January 14 at the Ebimpe Olympic Stadium.
They will then play against hosts Ivory Coast on January 18, before their last group game against Guinea Bissau on January 22.

Last week, the Nigeria Football Federation submitted a provisional list of 41 players to the Confederation of African Football.
The final 27-man squad is expected to be announced on January 3.
This year, the organizing committee of the AFCON decided to permit all 24 teams to have a final squad of 27 players, four more than the initial 23 players from previous tournaments.
To prepare for the tournament, the Super Eagles will be camping in Dubai, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
This will be an opportunity for the team to fine-tune their tactics and strategies before the tournament kicks off on January 13.
