The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has cleared the trio of Victor Osimhen, Moses Simon, and William Troost-Ekong in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Côte d’Ivoire.
The players have been declared free of any prohibited substances following the anti-doping test that was conducted on them.
As per the Guardian, the test conducted on the players did not detect any trace of banned substances.
With this clearance, the trio is now eligible to play in the quarterfinal match against Angola on Friday.
The CAF doping control officer must conduct the sample collection following the new COVID-19 measures.
After each match, two players from each team will be tested in principle.

However, the CAF doping control officer is authorized to collect samples from additional players without providing any reason.
The players selected for testing will be chosen randomly or through targeted methods by the CAF doping control officer.
The players are required to provide urine and blood samples as requested.
This quarterfinal match between Super Eagles and Angola will be the first time that both teams will meet at the AFCON.
