Veteran Nollywood actress Shan George has announced her recovery of ₦3.6 million, previously stolen from her Zenith Bank account on May 3rd.
In an Instagram live video, the actress expressed her gratitude towards Zenith Bank, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nigerians, and everyone who supported her financially during her efforts to reclaim her funds.
“I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Zenith Bank for their prompt response, to Opay for their transparency, and also to Safe Haven Bank, the EFCC, and the Nigerian Police,” she stated.
George has committed to providing further details on the occurrence and her successful retrieval of the funds.
Previously, she had appealed for assistance on her Instagram, stating that Cecelia Chiagoziem Okoro had allegedly withdrawn ₦3.6 million from her Zenith Bank account.
Alongside a screenshot of the transaction alert, George pleaded, “I need help because I’m dying. This person has emptied my account. Please, my people, I need everyone’s help. Zenith Bank, please reverse this. I can’t access my app. I’m dead.”
