A cloud of scandal hangs over a popular Abuja pastor, Stanley Ogbonna, the General Overseer of God’s Spring Assembly, also known as Glass Church, in Kubwa.
Ogbonna’s estranged wife, Chioma, has levelled serious accusations against him, alleging infidelity, domestic abuse, and a callous eviction from their home.
Chioma’s claims, which have gone viral on social media, paint a disturbing picture of a marital breakdown shrouded in hypocrisy.
She describes enduring an unhappy marriage for nearly two decades, during which time they had six children together.
According to Chioma’s narrative, Ogbonna had already removed his own belongings from the house years ago, while allegedly engaging in extramarital affairs.
The situation reached a breaking point recently when Ogbonna, according to Chioma, arrived at the residence with police officers and forcibly evicted her and their children.
A distraught Chioma documented the aftermath on video, which shows her belongings scattered outside the house.
In the video, Chioma pleads for justice, calling out Ogbonna’s alleged hypocrisy as a religious leader who has failed to uphold basic moral standards in his own personal life.
Efforts to reach Ogbonna or the Church for comment on these accusations have been unsuccessful.
The Church’s phone number goes unanswered and emails remain unreturned.
This lack of response from Ogbonna and the Church deepens the sense of public unease surrounding the situation.
Adding another layer of complexity is the fact that the Church recently celebrated Ogbonna’s birthday with a program titled “Happy Birthday in Perfect Grace.”
