During an interview in Uyo, Coach Onu expressed his optimism about Abia Warriors’ chances in the upcoming league campaign.
He stated that the team is fully prepared to compete for the top prize and is taking a step-by-step approach to achieve success through consistent hard work.
Coach Onu further revealed that his ultimate goal is to win the trophy, which is what everyone on the team is targeting.
He added that the prize money of N150 million for the NPFL 2023/2024 champions is still within reach for Abia Warriors, given that the club is a brand full of young talents who are ready to take on any challenge.
The former Heartland boss also shared that the Tico Select Preseason Tournament has provided a good ground for him to assess the strengths and weaknesses of his team.
He noted that the tournament has helped him identify areas that need attention and improvement, and he is committed to working on them to ensure that the team is in top shape for the league.
