A thunder strike has killed a Catholic Priest, Rev Fr. Faustinus Gundu in Ukum LGA of Benue State.
The incident happened on Thursday during a heavy rain at around 02 :00 pm.
Fr. Gundu,untill his death was the Parish Priest of St . Joseph Catholic Church Jootar,Ukum LGA of Benue
Fr. Gundu is a native Ikpayongo of Masev in Gwer East LGA and spent all his life in priesthood in Sankera axis of Benue preaching the gospel of God.
During his life time, Rev. Fr. Gundu, contributed in setting up many catholic parishes in Sankera which included St Michael’s Catholic Church Abaji-Kpav.
Rev Gundu spent several years in Abaji -Kpav before he was posted to parish at Jootar where he met his untimely death.
His death was confirmed to CRUX NEWS by one of parishioners.
