Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has congratulated the All-Progressives Congress (APC) on their well-deserved victory in the recently concluded Edo State governorship election. In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, on Monday, Aiyedatiwa also extended his heartfelt congratulations to the APC’s governorship candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and his running mate, Dennis Idahosa, on their emergence as governor-elect and deputy governor-elect, respectively.
Aiyedatiwa, who played a pivotal role as Chairman of the Election Planning and Strategy Committee for the APC in the Edo election, expressed his gratitude to the people of Edo for their trust in the party’s leadership. He celebrated the victory as a return of Edo State to the “progressive fold.”
“I want to congratulate our party, the APC, Senator Okpebholo, and Hon. Idahosa on this well-deserved victory in the governorship election. This victory belongs to all the good people of Edo State,” Aiyedatiwa said.

The governor also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership, which he credited for ensuring a peaceful, free, and fair election in the state. He commended the efforts of the APC’s national leadership, led by National Chairman Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, and praised the hard work of both the national and state campaign committees in securing the win.
Aiyedatiwa expressed confidence that the incoming administration under Okpebholo’s leadership would implement progressive policies aimed at positively transforming Edo State. He concluded by lauding the peaceful conduct of Edo residents throughout the election period, describing it as a testament to the democratic maturity of the state.
