The demise of Ilerioluwa Aloba, professionally known as Mohbad, a Nigerian rapper and songwriter, has left his management team on a mission to secure his catalogue and unpaid royalties from his former record label, Marlian Music.
Mohbad’s management released an official statement on his verified Instagram account, @iammohbad, on Saturday, affirming their commitment to the cause.
According to the statement, Mohbad was a fighter who, before his death, had taken legal action against Marlian Music to recover his songs and unpaid royalties, which the label had allegedly held back.
The management reiterated that they would continue to fight to retrieve the singer’s catalogue and unpaid royalties, not only to keep his legacy alive but also to provide for his family, especially his son Liam Imole.

The management also expressed gratitude for the immense support and love from Mohbad’s fans and the general public following his passing.
Some fans also took to the comment section of the statement to pay their tributes to the late singer.
Eminikabex expressed his disbelief and wished that Mohbad would show up on video and say it was all a prank, while Harteezofficial demanded justice for Mohbad.
Ajimovoix_drums mourned the loss of Mohbad with weeping emojis and called him a champion.
It is worth noting that Mohbad left Marlian Music in 2022, citing unpaid royalties from 2019.
He passed away on Tuesday, September 12, at the age of 27.
