The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Mr Nyesom Wike, has given his approval for the placement of the 10 pioneer Permanent Secretaries of the FCT Administration. This announcement was made by the FCT Head of Service, Dr Udo Atang, in a statement released in Abuja on Thursday.
According to Dr Atang, Dr Adams Babagana has been assigned to the Health Services and Environment department, while Wanki Ibrahim has been placed in the Treasury and Budget department. Asmau Muhktar will be taking charge of the Social Development Secretariat, and Dogo Bodinga has been assigned to the Economic Planning, Revenue Generation, and Public-Private Partnership Secretariat.
Additionally, Olusa Olusegun has been appointed to head the Area Councils Services, Adetoyi Kolawole will be in charge of Women Affairs, and Grace Adayilo will be taking charge of the Agriculture and Rural Development Secretariat. Other appointments include Olubunmi Olowookere as head of the Legal Services Secretariat, Ibe Chukwuemeka as head of the Education Secretariat, and Okonkwo Nonubari as head of the Transportation Secretariat.
Dr Atang has urged the affected officers to hand over their duties to their immediate subordinates in their current Secretariats, Departments, and Agencies as the posting takes immediate effect.
This move comes after the inauguration of the permanent secretaries in line with the provisions of the FCT Civil Service Commission Law, 2018, which commenced operation on March 18. The FCT Ministry is committed to ensuring that the administration works efficiently and effectively.
