The Rivers State Police Command has successfully neutralized a notorious cult leader, Izuma David Odiereke, also known as General Solution, in the Ahoada region.
Until his demise, he was reputed to be a formidable cult figure operating from the Owube kingdom in the Ahoada West Local Government Area.
Despite being on the police wanted list since 2016, he had managed to elude capture numerous times.
The cult leader’s luck ran out when he and his gang engaged in a shootout with the police around 4 A.M on Monday, resulting in his death.
The Commissioner of Police, Tunji Disu, while presenting Solution’s body to the press, remarked, “We have endured numerous assaults from this so-called general who has now been eliminated. He has been a wanted man for nearly a decade, a serial killer responsible for numerous deaths. His presence has prevented people from fishing or farming.”

The CP added, “The Ipia clan has been abandoned due to his murderous escapades. However, today, our officers, led by the DPO, decisively pursued him, and fortunately, we have apprehended him. This marks the conclusion of General Solution’s reign.”
The LGA Chairman, Hon Ben Eke, expressed his relief, saying, “I am truly pleased that this individual was taken down in Ahoada West. Cultists in Ahoada East and West often collaborate, so his downfall signifies a likely decrease in criminal activities in our local government. I applaud the IGP, the CP, and the police officers for their efforts.”
This incident occurs just one month after the neutralization of 2baba, another cult leader implicated in the murder of Bako Angbashim, the DPO of the Ahoada Division, by the police.
