Vicente Luque, a prominent MMA fighter, has expressed his respect for Mark Zuckerberg’s approach to the sport and his willingness to participate in a UFC fight.
It was reported on Tuesday that despite the breakdown of the Elon Musk vs. Zuckerberg fight, the Meta CEO is now looking to take on a professional fighter under the banner of Dana White’s promotion, and he has the backing of the higher-ups.
However, how do UFC fighters feel about an untested tech mogul who only started training in Jiu-Jitsu during the COVID-19 pandemic, entering their arena?

Luque, who is ranked #10 in the welterweight division, believes that a Zuckerberg fight is a distinct possibility.
“I definitely think [a Zuckerberg fight is] something that can happen. It does seem like he’s really disciplined,” he said.
“He’s not trying to hype all this stuff. He’s working hard, building himself little by little from the ground up. And I respect that a lot.”
Mark has undergone rigorous training with some of the world’s top fighters such as Israel Adesanya and Alex Volkanovski.
When asked about potential opponents, Vicente expressed that the fight must make logical sense.
Luque added that it should also be someone with similar experience as combat sports require not only technical skills but also mental fortitude.
Dana White, a proponent of Zuck’s venture into the combat sports world, lauded his seriousness and dedication to the sport.
“I believe he is serious about fighting in the UFC,” said White.
