Organized Labour has declared total and indefinite nationwide strike from 14 November 2023.
The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) made the announcement in Abuja on Tuesday, after an extraordinary National Executive Council meeting.
The two major labour unions said nationwide mobilisation of members and allies have begun immediately.
Recall that the Organised Labour had threatened to embark on nationwide strike following the alleged brutalization of its president, Joe Ajaero by Imo state police last week.
