Meanwhile, at the San Siro stadium, Inter Milan defeated Salzburg 2-1, with Alexis Sanchez scoring the first goal for the former champions in the 19th minute.
Salzburg equalized through Oscar Gloukh three minutes before the hour mark, but Hakan Calhanoglu scored the winning goal for Inter Milan on 64 minutes from a penalty kick.
