Police Action and Arrests
Following the tragedy, the Oyo State Police Command confirmed the arrest of seven individuals linked to the event. The police identified Prophetess Naomi Silekunola, the ex-queen of the Ooni of Ife and main sponsor of the funfair, along with the school’s principal, Fasasi Abdulahi, and others including Genesis Christopher, Tanimowo Moruf, Anisolaja Olabode, Idowu Ibrahim, and Abiola Oluwatimilehin.
