The French Rugby team is all set to take on New Zealand in the opening match of the Rugby World Cup.
In the absence of the injured Jonathan Danty, Yoram Moefana will play at the inside centre position and wear the number 12 shirt.
Fly-half Matthieu Jalibert will partner with Antoine Dupont in the halves, as regular France 10 Romain Ntamack is out of the tournament due to an injury.
Prop Cyril Baille is also ruled out of the opener in Paris due to an injury.
The match is expected to be one of the most thrilling matches of the entire tournament and will see France welcome the three-time champions, New Zealand.
Though France has faced some unfortunate injuries recently with the likes of Romain Ntamack, Paul Willemse, and Jonathan Danty missing from their World Cup squads, they are known for their immeasurable strength in depth.
French fans need not worry that their side will be weakened in any way.
To replace the injured Willemse, former French favourite Cameron Woki is selected to take his place in the second row.
Matthieu Jalibert will come in at fly-half to partner the mercurial Antoine Dupont, while Yoram Moefana will join Gael Fickou in the centres in replacement of Danty.
The match will take place at 9.15 pm local time at Stade de France.
Les Bleus, who are gunning for a maiden World Cup title, finished their preparations with a convincing 41-17 victory against Australia and will take some confidence into Friday’s game, having beaten the All Blacks for the first time since 2009 two years ago.
Head coach Fabien Galthie said,
“We’re getting into this match with the best France team,” and insisted his team is ready for a celebration.
