A panel of experts selected the top eleven goals scored between December 19, 2022, and August 20, 2023.
The winner will be chosen by an international jury consisting of FIFA legends and registered fans on FIFA.com.
The deadline for voting is October 10, and the winner will be announced at the next FIFA awards gala.
Linda Caicedo is also a contender for the 2023 Ballon d’Or and one of sixteen nominees for The Best FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year Award.
The shortlist features three female players, including Sam Kerr, Linda Caicedo, and Beatriz Zaneratto, all of whom scored goals during the recent World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
Kerr’s solo run in the semi-final against England resulted in a goal that sparked wild celebrations across the host nation.
Caicedo’s goal against Germany was a wonderful curler, an unstoppable right-footed drive into the top corner, after shaking off two defenders with a sublime piece of skill.
Zaneratto provided the finishing touch for a wonderful team goal against Panama.
Other Puskas Award nominations include Nuno Santos’ audacious ‘rabona’ for Sporting Lisbon and Guilherme Miranda’s remarkable overhead kick from outside the penalty area for Botafogo.
